Astronaut Major Tim Peake CMG has joined a number of the event’s key stakeholders to record a special video message that will start the countdown to ITT Hub 2021.

With the postponement of ITT Hub 2020 (Innovation & Technology in Transport) due to the Coronavirus pandemic, ITT Hub 2021 will now take place in May next year and organisers Binswood Media have used the one year out milestone to compile a special video for visitors and exhibitors to catch up on latest developments for the event. It will go live at 11am on Wednesday 13th May to coincide with what would have been the opening of the first conference session.

ITT Hub is scheduled to be one of the first large trade events in the road transport sector for 2021. Outdoor and indoor exhibition space spanning over 45,000sqm will showcase one of the largest display of trucks, buses, coaches, vans, minibuses and anywhere in the UK next year.

Major Tim Peake CMG, who was the first British astronaut to visit the International Space Station, will be a keynote speaker at the FTA’s Future Logistics Conference which will run in parallel with the exhibition at Farnborough International at ITT Hub 2021. He has also, most recently, prepared a series of films looking at science and technology for BBC One’s ‘The One Show’.

The video will go live on the event’s website (www.itthub.co.uk) on Wednesday 13th May. It will feature news and updates with personal appearances from a range of industry professionals including Lloyds Banking Group, Centrica, National Grid, Lex Autolease and FTA.

Chairman of Binswood Media, Leon Daniels OBE said “The whole industry was really excited about our inaugural event this month. The support from our exhibitors and our numerous event partners and Advisory Board members has been fantastic. I am delighted that Tim Peake will be giving us a brief insight into his presentation that all of us were so looking forward to. We want to play our part in supporting the industry in this way by creating an even stronger and more significant showcase for everyone to come out and experience in May 2021.”
