ITT Hub 2021 – the new flagship event for the road transport sector – has appointed Susan Fairley, former Head of Marketing & PR at Automechanika Birmingham, to lead the delivery of the multi-channel event campaign for ITT Hub at Farnborough International next year.

With a career in the events sector at a senior level with some of the UK’s largest exhibition companies, Susan becomes the new Marketing & Communications Director with immediate effect. Using her strong experience in previous roles, including working on Spring Fair, Autumn Fair, Glee and latterly the award-winning Automechanika Birmingham exhibition, she will lead on working with key stakeholders, FTA teams and Event Partners.

Commenting on the appointment Mark Griffin CEO, Binswood Media says: “We are thrilled to have Susan joining our team as we deliver a long-awaited new event in the road transport sector. We have a really strong platform for next year. We continue to work very closely with our customers to deliver a long-awaited event for the industry to come together again in a brand new format.

“Susan has worked on some iconic trade events and brings loads of enthusiasm and flair too, along with strong experience in the automotive sector. She shares our vision to develop the ITT Hub brand into a fresh and exciting new event for the market to support and benefit from. I know that our industry will enjoy working with our expanded team as we invest in making next year’s exhibition and free conference a fantastic and unique event to look forward to.”

With over half of the 45,000 sqm exhibition space ITT Hub 2021 being outdoors for vehicle display and ride and drive, the organisers are working with the venue to ensure social-distancing measures can be met in accordance with industry safety protocols if required.

Speaking on news of her appointment Susan says: “I’m really delighted to join the team. With 12 months to go before the event, there is huge scope to build the ITT Hub brands, establishing them as essential assets for the road transport sector.

“I’m looking forward to engaging with our customers, stakeholders and partners to shape next year’s event, creating a community for the industry which works all year-round. I’m excited to be joining a sector that will play a key part in rebuilding the economy, alongside stepping up to the huge challenges of developing and delivering new technologies for net-zero emissions.”

This news comes as more new exhibitors are announced as taking part in ITT Hub 2021.

Westfield Technology Group, the autonomous vehicle provider, will have a large presence and visitors will experience their autonomous pods in the demonstration area. The Westfield team will be on hand to give visitors an insight into their latest technology over the two days at Farnborough.

Another technology company recently booked is Vehocheck, which supplies automated and streamlined vehicle checking and compliance reporting technology.

With over 100 exhibitors already booked for next year, the organisers report strong interest from many other industry suppliers and organisations looking at how they can take part in a safe and cost-effective way at Farnborough in May 2021.
