The business behind some of the nation’s favourite sweet treats has chosen supply chain and logistics expert Fowler Welch to support its latest venture, launching a range of new products into the UK chilled market.

Ferrero – whose brands include Nutella, Kinder chocolate and Tic Tacs – selected Fowler Welch to provide storage, picking and distribution services after a tender process.

The estimated 1.4 million cases per annum will be managed through Fowler Welch’s state-of-the-art Nuneaton facility where Ferrero will join a number of other big brands.

Sahil Puri, chilled supply chain manager Ferrero, said:

“Quality is at the heart of everything we do and this is especially the case when we consider how our products are looked after during the supply chain. We were immensely impressed with the Nuneaton facility and the on-site dedicated customer service teams, as well as the team’s experience of working with customers and retailers to provide industry-leading service levels. We look forward to a successful relationship.”

Nick Hay, CEO Fowler Welch, said:

“Our commercial proposal offers a sustainable and flexible solution that balances Ferrero’s current and future needs.
“Nuneaton is considered a ‘centre for excellence’ for service and we’re confident that this, combined with Fowler Welch’s ability to manage customers of all sizes, will help us develop a successful relationship with this much-loved brand.”

Fowler Welch works closely with its customers to find solutions that best meet their requirements, offering a range of services across both chilled and ambient sectors. Its focus is on adding value to such partnerships by facilitating business growth and bringing outstanding customer service to the table.

Nick Hay added:

“For more than 30 years Fowler Welch has been providing expert solutions for retailers and manufacturers, always striving to gain a full and holistic understanding of customer requirements so we can listen, respond and deliver with value-adding services. In doing so, we become an extension of their team and build strong relationships that last, all fuelled by our colleagues’ commitment.”
